Nathan joined the Trimax team in August, bringing with him years of experience in the rural sector and, more recently, in the sports turf industry. His background gives him a solid understanding of the challenges faced by operators and turf managers — and a genuine passion for helping them find the right solutions.
What Nathan enjoys most about his role is the chance to support people. “I like to think I don’t sell products,” he says. “I build long-term relationships.” For him, it starts with listening, asking questions, and understanding what customers are really aiming to achieve. “Very seldom do I ‘sell’ on the first visit,” he explains. “That first introduction is about meeting the person. From there, it’s about being dependable, reliable, and always ready to take the call.”
Over the years, Nathan has learned that while most customers want the same outcome — great-looking, well-maintained turf — the path to get there can look very different. That’s why he focuses on tailoring solutions to suit each application. “One of the biggest challenges I see is helping customers understand how Trimax can increase efficiency, and how the low cost of ownership can really benefit the bottom line,” he says.
Nathan also values how Trimax’s approach aligns with his own. “Quality of product and service — that’s what sets Trimax apart. The company’s values match mine, and I feel it’s a good fit,” he says.
Outside of work, Nathan makes the most of the North Queensland lifestyle with boating, camping, and fishing. He and his wife are also proud parents of five children — four of their own, plus a foster child they’ve recently been granted full legal guardianship of.
