Trimax is an Approved Supplier on the National Procurement Network NPN419

Trimax Mowing Systems is an approved supplier under the National Procurement Network (NPN419), giving councils and government organisations across Australia an easy way to access Trimax mowing equipment. The approval, confirmed in September 2025, allows councils to purchase Trimax equipment through a recognised national contract, rather than running a full public tender.

Why This Matters for Councils

For many councils, purchasing equipment can be time-consuming, with multiple steps required to meet procurement requirements. NPN419 changes that by providing access to suppliers that have already been assessed and approved.

This means councils can move more quickly when equipment is needed, whether replacing ageing machinery, maintaining seasonal workloads, or responding to unexpected demand. Instead of starting from scratch, councils can request a quote, compare options, and proceed with confidence knowing the supplier meets procurement standards.

What is the National Procurement Network?

The National Procurement Network (NPN) brings together procurement organisations that support local governments across Australia. By working together, these organisations combine the buying power of councils and make it easier to purchase goods and services through trusted suppliers.

The network includes:

  • Local Government Procurement (LGP) – New South Wales
  • MAV Procurement – Victoria
  • Local Buy – Queensland
  • Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) – Western Australia
  • LGA Procurement – South Australia
  • Local Government Association of the Northern Territory (LGANT)
  • Local Government Association of Tasmania (LGAT)

Through this network, councils can access suppliers that have already been vetted, pre-qualified and approved.

Trimax Equipment Available Through the Contract

The NPN419 contract includes Trimax flail and rotary mower ranges, giving councils access to equipment suited for maintaining parks, sports fields, roadsides and public spaces.

What is NPN419?

NPN419 is a national procurement contract covering plant, machinery and equipment, including mowing and turf equipment used by councils. Because Trimax is approved under this contract, our equipment can be purchased through a national procurement pathway, rather than separate state-based processes.

Councils purchasing through NPN419 can request a quote or proceed directly to purchase, depending on their internal process. In most cases, a quote is still requested, followed by a purchase order referencing the NPN419 contract, without the need to run a full tender.

Building on Trimax’s Government Partnerships

Trimax has worked with government procurement groups since 2019, starting with LGP in New South Wales and expanding across Australia to include Local Buy, MAV Procurement, WALGA, LGA Procurement, LGANT and LGAT. The move to NPN419 builds on these existing relationships, bringing them together under a single national contract.

Supporting Councils Across Australia

For Trimax, joining NPN419 is about making it easier for councils to work with a supplier they already know and trust. Trimax Sales Manager Andrew explains, “We were constantly being asked whether we were part of these contractor groups. It makes it much easier for councils to work with pre-approved suppliers rather than having to run their own tenders.”

He says the national contract now removes that friction on a broader scale. “Being a contractor on the National Procurement Network gives us the ability to offer pre-approved purchasing for councils and other government bodies nationally. It simplifies procurement, reduces administrative delays, and ensures consistent value and compliance.” With Trimax now approved under NPN419, organisations across Australia have a more direct way to access Trimax mowing equipment when they need it.
